Actually, I got my PS2 running again instead and resumed playing Persona 4. Kanji's dongeon (and boss) can be pretty hard, seriously. But I think I will manage to beat him very soon.

To make it easy, create a persona that resists physical attacks. Bringing cool beads can help as well.

Nice Guy absorbs ice.
Tough Guy aborbs fire and physical.
Shadow Kanji absorbs nothing.

So basically, if you have to use a multi hitting spell, use either mazio or magaru skills. Switch all allies on manual, since the AI is too stupid for this fight. Nice Guy should be your first target since he will heal and buff Shadow Kanji. You can debuff Shadow Kanji by using Dekaja(Yosuke should have this move). Target Tough Guy next. After both are dead, Shadow Kanji is cake.

Hope that helps.

But yeah, thank goodness, Yukiko is nothing like Yukari. I really love Persona 4 characters and friendships (maybe more than I did in Persona 3).

Yeah, you'll like them even more when you get further.

And just saying, Nanako is one of the most adorable JRPG kid ever.

True.

Quote

Yeah, so far I'm liking them all too. Although I quite liked goofy old Junpei and I kind of miss him; I'm glad they set up Yosuke as a stand-in but he (while still a nice character) isn't quite the same.

I gotta disagree about Junpei. Yosuke is a much cooler version of that character type. They are both pretty funny, but Yosuke acts more like a true friend. Junpei always went off on these jealous and whiny rants. Even going so far as to blame the main character for everything. Yosuke was your best friend and stuck by you no matter what. Junpei constantly took everything out on you. MC should have beat him down several times.

That's actually why I don't mind Yukari that much. She's cruel to Junpei, and I hate his guts.

The two girls were quite nice in that they're so different yet each is endearing in their own way. Kanji was a pleasant surprise for me, such a departure from stereotypes; I'm really looking forward to know more about his character. I still have to get two more characters, so when I get to resume playing (which sadly might be quite far away yet), I might form a more accurate opinion.

You're getting 3 more actually, but Rise isn't playable. She takes over the support role, and you get Teddie and Naoto as playable characters.

I still have to get to really know Yosuke, so I'm bound to like him more further on. I didn't feel that Junpei was that negative, though; still, as the comic relief, supportiveness for the main character was probably not a major requisite for me.

She also tends to be quite nasty (perhaps too strong of a word, I'm trying to find an equivalent to a Spanish word and failing miserably :/) to everyone else, including the main character, especially at the beginning. But it's true that the character she bashed most on was Junpei, and since I did like him, perhaps that colored my perception of him.

Rise goes over to support? I know barely nothing of her (and want it to stay like that) but what there is of her in the opening; she couldn't seem more different from shy, introverted Fuuka. That'll be interesting to see.

Every time something goes wrong he blames the MC. He even admits this and apologizes several times, only to do it again.

She's more snarky than nasty to the MC.

She also couldn't stand Mitsuru at first, and I hated her as well.

Yeah, it's a huge difference.

Wow, I see we couldn't be more different with regard to Persona 3's characters. Junpei, Akihiko, Mitsuru and Aigis were the highlights for me, while also liking Fuuka and Shinjiro, and Yukari being my least liked character. Actually, scratch that, my only disliked character.
Eh, to each their own. Let's not hijack the thread further. Xenoblade!

I actually started replaying Xenoblade. I'm actually enjoying it more now, probably because I know what to expect this time.

Finished my replay. I did like it more this time. Now I'd probably give it the edge on Persona 2(even though P2 has a better plot if you ask me).

Did you play a NewGame+? Or a complete restart?
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.
If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.
If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.

Kinda nice to be able to tangle with the "Immovable Gonzalez" as soon as he appears, no?

Mwhahaha, I just found out I could play Xenoblade on the PC. After taking some time to find the ROM and configuring the Emulator, I have to say that my Logitech game pad emulates the classic controller flawlessly. This should be interesting, if not entertaining.

Well... I tried to beat the last boss/game and I could have... if only the game didn't throw a freaking bug at me (what the hell game, you're trolling me at the very end !??). So I watched the ending on Youtube. Apparently, you have to beat the final boss in 2 times. I think the game screwed up when the cutscene in between the fights was about to be launched... so I got stucked in the area... with the final boss no where in sight.
So, well... the ending... some more Xeno similitaries. I mean, come on, Alvis even ends up looking like the WE from Gears (with Shulk standing on water).
Judging by the ending, I think a sequel could be made.

A sequel would/could be interesting. What would you like to see in it?

That's interesting. My Wii is broken, but I still want to play the games I paid for.

Which emulator can run off of the CD? What do you use? Dolphin? If so, what configurations? :P
