Xenogears: Eternal Legacy v0.07 (Updated)
I user joined the forum and opened my eyes a little. The last version used a shade of red that made the user squint when trying to read text. I learned of this and started working on a solution. One thing led to another and I was back to the old drawling board. This time my goal was more of a “artsy” feel as well as reducing empty space and remove generic images.
With tons of new software I ventured forth creating buttons where links once were and modernizing the site. I intend to add better art to the home page. But in the mean time the community reviews are the best so far.

Xenogears: Eternal Legacy v0.07.5 (Current)
A pretty large jump, the enhanced version implements quite a few optimizations and a new forum software.
Xenogears-
Armed with the knowledge of many months of trial and error I finally decided to go all out. Starting from scratch, I paid a custom artists for a few images I was willing to put my heart into it. With a little help from various people from around the web I was bent on making the perfect Xenogears site. I used many new tools and many new applications as well as various compression techniques to improve load times. I toiled away at this site for many moons most without rest, even skipping work at times. So that my latest creation had no problems. Many features were added, some costing a lot of money.
In the end I was proud of how my site has turned out so far. I still have a long way to go.

This was the layout for many months, It was actually easy to create I just inverted the colors and added a few pics around the site.
This was going to be my “last stand” so to speak on the site. Till the day I bumped into a few members who thought the site loaded terribly. This layout would have been perfect if I didn't use 1000’s of huge .png images. Plus it looked a little dated at times.

Well what can I say, it was very red! In fact many members didn't complain at all!. I thought it was too red so I moved on from this layout, only after a few days of release.

Another one I thought looked great... After numerous complaints I decided to move on from this layout. Looking back on it now it is way over saturated in color, looks like a 70’s website.
I probably learned the most from this skin, I finally started to understand how things went together.

Don’t ask! From the looks of it you may have thought I was on the crack! I was trying to go with the whole “windowed look” as it turned out its was UGLY! Also the load times were terrible to say the least. Well at the very least I learned what doesn’t work.

This is a layout I am still very fond of, in the end it just looked vanilla and not full of life. Also I was with a company called webstarts. Absolutely terrible company, service was bad, customer service was bad, all around not a good place to start in your looking into anything website related.

attempts of Xenogears-
Before we begin I will try to explain ahead of time why there were so many changes affecting all portions of the site.
I started with very little knowledge on how the Internet worked; I didn't even know the difference between host and domain! So I learned by jumping in head first. Using various tools to cut corners and blazed through just to get a site up. This was a mistake as I soon realized, that just doesn’t fly on the internetz. So I began to ask questions (in some cases harassed people) anybody who knew even a little in website development I was all over. I’d say it took me about eight month’s straight work to even start to realize a “real” website. After many revisions I finally started to get a lot of positive feedback, think trial and error. Though admittedly the journey is nowhere near complete, I am happy and proud the way the site turned out.
